11. Codes
Here’s the step-by-step procedure for viewing your business credentials in the “Code List” section of Centralize, an essential tool for simplifying your contract entry.
Objective
Quickly retrieve your representative code numbers (individual or corporate) as well as your share codes (splits) and FundServ IDs without having to search through your physical records.
Access
Look for the 11th icon in the left sidebar, represented by a business card image.
Step 1: Reading the code table
The table is organized into columns for quick identification according to your work structure (individual or in practice):
- Column 1 (Name): Displays your name, the name of the relevant representative or the corporation.
- Column 2 (Institution): Indicates the name of the provider or insurer associated with the code.
- Column 3 (Individual): Your personal code used for business in your own name.
- Column 4 (Corporation): The code associated with your corporate entity, if applicable.
- Column 5 (Description): Explanatory notes or clarifications added by the General Agent.
Step 2: FundServ Codes and Splits
Particular attention should be paid to the centre of the list for investment transactions and collaborative arrangements:
- Individual FundServ Code: Usually associated with a 100% mention, confirming your base code.
- Split Codes: If you collaborate on certain folders, these codes appear with:
- The percentage of commission distribution.
- The names of the partners with whom the commission is shared.
Step 3: Convenient use
- Centralization: Use this screen as a single reference when completing new proposals.
- Verification: Ensure that the FundServ codes displayed match your current sharing arrangements before submitting an investment file.
💡 Tip: If you work for multiple producers within a firm, make sure the name in the first column matches the file you are currently working on, as the codes vary from representative to representative.
