13. Advisor’s book

Here is a detailed procedure for viewing and analyzing assets under management (ASA/AUM) in VieFund, based on the instructions in the video.

Objective

Extract and analyze data related to an advisor’s or firm’s total assets under management to assess profitability and client allocation.

Prerequisites

  • Have access rights to the search and statistics functions in VieFund.

Step 1: Access the statistics menu

  1. From the main menu of VieFund, select the “Research” tab.
  2. Click on the “ASA Statistics” option.
  3. System Selection: From the drop-down menu, choose the “Default System” option.
    • ⚠️ Note: In some versions, this term is erroneously translated as “system failure”. Select this option carefully.

Step 2: Selection of representatives

  1. For a single advisor: Check the small white box next to your name.
  2. For an entire firm: Select the global selection box (often at the top of the list) to include all representatives. This will produce a consolidated report of the combined data of all advisors in the firm.

Step 3: Choosing the Export Format

Select the output format according to your need:

  • Excel format: Ideal for making growth projections, adding custom calculations, or editing graphs. It is the most user-friendly format for office work.
  • PDF format: Preferred if you want a document that is already formatted and ready to be officially shared with an advisor or partner.

Step 4: Customer Allocation Analysis

Once the report is generated, review the table (left) and graph (right):

  1. Segmentation by value: Clients are classified by asset brackets (e.g., $0 to $25,000 , $200,000 to $1 million, etc.).
  2. Efficiency Analysis: Identify the concentration of your assets.
    • Example: It is common to find that a small minority of customers (e.g., 7.4%) concentrate a large part of total assets (e.g., 30.6%). This category represents your most profitable customer base.
  3. Game plan: Use these numbers to revise the advisor’s growth goals or to establish a specific coaching plan aimed at increasing the average value per client.

💡 Practical advice

Assets under management analysis is a powerful tool during corporate reviews. If an advisor has a large majority of clients in the 0-$25,000 bracket, this may indicate a need to redirect their prospecting efforts to higher net worth accounts to improve efficiency.
