06. AMF registration certificate
Foreword: Prerequisites and Information Collection
Maintaining a firm’s compliance with the AMF is a critical responsibility. In the Apexa ecosystem, each data field must correspond exactly to the AMF’s registers to avoid time-consuming administrative rejections. Before starting the procedure, an information-gathering phase is essential to prevent any operational blockage.
Critical Elements Required
- AMF Registration Certificate: The original PDF document issued by the AMF.
- MFA Client Number: The unique identifier linked to the corporate entity.
- Registration Number: The corporation-specific identifier (not to be confused with the representative’s licence).
- Tracking number: Mentioned on the certificate, necessary for the accuracy of the file.
- Administrative Access: Active credentials for the firm’s Apexa portal.
The “So What?”: Distinction between Permits and Registration
It is imperative to understand that the AMF legally distinguishes between the representative (individual licensed individual) and the firm (registered corporation). For an advisor transitioning to an incorporated practice, submitting his or her individual licence in place of the firm’s certificate of registration constitutes a major breach of compliance. Such an error will result in an immediate rejection by Apexa’s audit bodies and may suspend the processing of contracts with insurers.
This preparation ensures the fluidity of the operating procedure detailed below.

Operational procedure
The standardization of administrative procedures is the main lever for reducing processing times between Apexa and the AMF. By following these steps, the firm ensures that its corporate structure is put into production quickly.
