22. Customer access to VieFund – 3. Settings
Here is the detailed procedure for using the interface by the end user, including secure messaging and profile management.
Objective
To allow the customer to communicate securely with their advisor, to verify the accuracy of their personal information and to manage their security settings independently.
Prerequisites
- The customer must have their login credentials.
- The client must have their Social Insurance Number (SIN) on hand for the validation steps.
Step 1: Secure Connection
- Enter your username and password on the homepage.
- Security validation: To confirm your identity, the system asks:
- Your date of birth.
- The last three digits of your SIN.
Step 2: Use built-in messaging
The system has a secure mailbox to communicate with your advisor:
- Access: Click the Startup tab.
- View: Here you can see your received messages and sent items.
- Writing a message:
- Click on “New email”.
- Define the subject, content, and priority level of the message.
- Attachments: You can add documents to your submission.
- Submit: Click OK. The message is sent directly to your advisor’s business address.
- Note: A registration confirmation is displayed upon successful submission.
Step 3: Profile and Contact Information Verification
- Click the Profile tab.
- Verification: Review your identity information (name, date of birth) and contact information (address, phone).
- Bug fixing: The data is not editable directly by you for compliance reasons.
- Action: If you spot an error, use messaging (Step 2) to report it to your advisor so that they can correct it in the CRM.
Step 4: Password Management
If you wish to change your access:
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Select the option to change the password.
- Security: You will need to re-enter your date of birth and the last three digits of your SIN to validate the change.
💡 Advice for the advisor
Customer satisfaction depends on the accuracy of the data. It is imperative to check the accuracy of the information (contact details, beneficiaries, etc.) in the file before inviting the customer to log in for the first time.
