02. Profile
Here is the step-by-step procedure for setting up your profile and using the menu bar shortcuts in Equisoft’s Centralize.
Objective
Customize the user interface, secure account access, and optimize daily navigation to increase efficiency.
Step 1: Using Search Shortcuts
The top menu bar contains a global search field:
- Search by contract: Enter a policy number directly to access the record.
- Search by customer: Type in a person’s name to list all of their related products.
- Multi-Producer Search: If you manage a team or firm, you can search for a specific producer from the list of firm members.
Step 2: User profile settings
Click on your profile icon in the top right to adjust the following:
- Language: Set this setting to priority (French/English) to translate the entire interface.
- Font (typography):
- Verdana: recommended (sans serif). It is more readable on the screen, especially if the resolution is low.
- ASAP or MULI: serif fonts, for a more traditional look.
- Default home page: Choose the section that appears as soon as you open (e.g., select Pending tasks to process your priorities as soon as you log in).
- Group lists: Enable this option to organize your data in a more structured way when it appears as lists.
Step 3: Secure the account
- Two-factor authentication (2FA): It is strongly recommended that you enable this option.
- How it works: When logging in, you will be asked for a validation code. You can choose to receive it via:
- A dedicated authenticator app.
- A text message (SMS).
- An email.
Step 4: Customize the financial display
You can change how premiums are represented in your reports and contract lists. Choose from the following options:
- Premiums paid.
- Annual or annualized premiums.
- Distributed bonuses.
Step 5: Save Changes
⚠️ Important point: There is no “Save” button. Any changes made to your profile settings are instant and automatic. Once a choice is selected, it is already applied.
💡 Handy tip: If you find the interface tiring on the eyes, make sure you’ve selected the Verdana font. Its “sans-sans” design is specifically designed to reduce eye strain during prolonged screen playback.
