20. Customer access to VieFund – 1. Share access

Here is the complete procedure for authorizing your clients to access their web portal in VieFund, based on the instructions in the video.


Objective

Allowing a customer to consult all their accounts in an autonomous and centralized way, thus increasing transparency and limiting recurring administrative requests.

Prerequisites

  • Have a valid email address for the client in their VieFund account.

Step 1: Verify the file information

  1. On the customer search page, select the customer.
  2. Go to the “Customer” tab.
  3. Data audit: Take the time to verify the accuracy of the following information:
    • Last name, first name, language, gender, date of birth and SIN.
    • Address, zip code, and phone number.
  4. Critical point: Make sure the email is entered correctly. It is this element that allows access to be sent. If it is absent or wrong, the procedure will fail.

Step 2: Setting up administrative access

  1. Click on the “Administrative” tab.
  2. In the list of available actions, click on “My web portfolio”.
  3. Activation: Change the status from “Not Registered” to “Registered”.

Step 3: Security settings

The platform automatically offers a default username and password.

  1. Password management: It is strongly recommended to check the option asking the customer to change their password the next time they log in.
    • Advantage: The customer chooses their own code and you don’t know it, which is better for privacy.
  2. Advanced security: You can enable a password expiration every 60 days, but first assess your customer’s computer fluency to avoid blocking their access too frequently.

Step 4: Submit credentials

  1. Check the box “Include an email with the username and passwords for the customer”.
  2. Click on the “OK” button.
  3. Patience: It may take some time for the system to confirm the shipment. Wait for the window to close.
  4. Visual confirmation: Check that the “Saved access” status now appears clearly in the VieFund interface.

Step 5: Follow up and notify the customer

  1. SMS warning: Once the confirmation is received, send a short text message to your customer.
  2. Sending details: Inform them that the email comes from the viefund@sentiel.ca address  (AgenZ Group) with the subject “Confirmation – Access to my wallet”.
  3. Spam vigilance: Ask them to check their junk mail, as the sender’s address can be filtered by some email software.

💡 Helpful tip: Enabling this access is especially relevant for multi-account or multi-institution clients, as it gives them a consolidated view of their wealth just like the one you have.
