11. Instruction letter (C27)
This video describes the management of specific or non-standardized requests via a versatile tool.
The C27 form is an essential complementary tool that serves as a valuable recourse for all transactional situations that do not have a standardized document within the firm.
1. Identification of the need
- Versatility: Use this form to forward specific or custom requests to an issuer for a given account.
- Subsidiary use: This is particularly useful when there are no other forms (such as C2 or C5) that cover the exact nature of your application.
2. Entering basic information
The document is in the form of a single page where you must write:
- The customer’s credentials.
- The name of the issuer concerned.
- The account number to which the instruction relates.
3. Writing Custom Instructions
- Personalisation: You have the possibility to write specific instructions adapted to the precise needs of your file.
- Clarity: Make sure the writing is unambiguous before submitting the document.
4. Transmission and validation
- Submission: Once completed, the form must be submitted to the broker who will be responsible for transmitting it to the issuer.
- Acceptance: Note that the final acceptance of this Letter of Instruction will depend on the nature of the request made.
