12. Useful links
Here’s a step-by-step walkthrough for using the “Links & Hyperlinks” tab in Centralize, designed to optimize your searches and daily practice.
Objective
Quickly access all essential external resources: news, data entry applications, calculation tools, regulatory authorities and insurer portals.
Access
Look for the icon represented by two chain links, located near the bottom of your left sidebar menu.
Step 1: Monitoring and professional news
The first category includes sources of information to stay up to date:
- News: Direct access to conseiller.ca and finance and investment sites.
- Usage: Check out these links to read the articles of the day, week or month about the evolution of financial services.
Step 2: Access to insurers’ portals and tools
The directory is divided into three complementary sections for each institution (listed in alphabetical order):
- Electronic applications: Direct links for the electronic entry and submission of proposals.
- Institutional websites: Access to insurers’ corporate portals and advisor areas.
- Fund companies: Detailed information on investment funds and performance data.
- Artwork: Links to web versions or desktop software to download to produce your product artwork.
Step 3: Medical and Technical Resources
Useful for pricing and understanding customer records:
- Medical Associations: Access to Dynacare’s website to order exams.
- Diagnostic support: Links to the Medical Encyclopedia and Vulgaris Medical to understand your clients’ pathologies.
- Medical Information Desk: Please note that this access is available in English only.
Step 4: Regulatory authorities and institutions
A complete directory for your compliance and research needs:
- Regulators: AMF (Autorité des marchés financiers), Chambre de la sécurité financière.
- Government: Bank of Canada, CRTC, CNESST, Centre for Business Services, etc.
Step 5: The Practical Toolbox
This section contains the utilities that are essential for office work:
- AgenZ Tools: Access to the “Toolbox” and direct link to Centralize.
- Logistics: Postal code lookup via Canada Post.
- Calculators: Currency converter, dictionary and the WinCott tool for quick life insurance valuations.
💡 Helpful tip: Take a few minutes to explore all of these categories and add to your own browser favorites the 3 or 4 links you use most often (such as electronic apps or the AgenZ toolkit).
