11. Quick Customer Report
Here is the detailed procedure for generating and interpreting an annual review report for your clients in VieFund, respecting the requested formatting.
Objective
Produce a comprehensive report illustrating the overall growth in assets, deposits made and the consolidated performance of a client’s accounts, regardless of the financial institution.
Prerequisites
- Be logged in to your VieFund advisor interface.
- Have defined the revision period (e.g. the previous calendar year).
Step 1: Customer Research and Selection
- Click on the “Customer” tab.
- Enter the first and last name in the search fields.
- 💡 Tip: If you don’t see any results, try removing the accents. Some financial institutions remove accented characters when creating records.
- Select the appropriate client from the scrollable list of results.
Step 2: Configure the review report
- Once in the client file, click on the “Report” option.
- Definition of the period: Enter the dates of interest. For an annual review, use for example from January 1, 2025 to January 1, 2026.
- Element selection: Check the relevant options to illustrate growth (include annual filings for more accurate analysis).
- Click the button to generate the PDF statement.
Step 3: Account and Growth Analysis
The generated report provides a macro view of the case:
- Account scope: View all active accounts (e.g. 7 managed accounts).
- Closed Accounts: Note that an account closed during the year remains apparent in VieFund until December 31 of the year of closure.
- Value analysis: Compare the value at the beginning of the period to the value at the end.
- Example: An initial value of $45,400 + contributions of $36,000 to arrive at a final value of $93,703.
- Limitations: For a customer in the transition phase or who has changed products during the year, the data for the first few months may be incomplete for the automatic calculation of growth.
Step 4: Using the Chart and Fund Codes
- Graphical view: Go to the next page of the PDF. This intuitive chart shows the temporal development of assets and is very popular with customers.
- Institution Identification: Use fund code prefixes to quickly identify vendors:
- ELC: Equitable Life
- ALM: Assumption Life
- FGM: Manulife
- In-depth research: Use these codes to perform performance comparisons in external tools or to collect accurate data directly from financial institution portals.
💡 Practical tip: VieFund centralizes your data like a macro CRM. If you need an ultra-detailed analysis of daily deposits, it is best to consult the portal of the institution concerned (Assumption, Manulife, etc.) directly.
